Our Vision and Mission Statement:
Open Table United Church of Christ is an open table where all are welcome.
We celebrate diversity, nourish and serve others, work for justice, and grow together in faith through the teachings of Jesus Christ and the voice of the still-speaking God.
Our congregation was established in 1840. The church building was constructed in 1870, and is on the National Register of Historic Places. Our air-conditioned sanctuary also houses a powerful Schantz pipe organ. We also maintain a church office building and a house for the minister.
Our church is a member of the United Church of Christ; http://ucc.org, we are affiliated with the Prairie Association; http://prairie.ilucc.org/ and the Illinois Conference; http://www.ilucc.org/.
The officers of the church make up our Leadership Table which is comprised of the Minister, Moderator, Moderator Elect, Clerk, Treasurer, and person at large.
In addition to board service, education and choir, there are many activities our church family to enjoys:

- Something More for Kids
- Social time after worship
- Adult Book Study - seasonal
- Other People's Poetry - lower level of the church on the third Thursday of each month at 7pm
- Second Sunday Lunch
- PADS Team - works at the Ottawa PADS shelter Sept. - May
- PADS Dinner Team - supplies dinner for Ottawa PADS once a month
- Host to PFLAG Ottawa
- Host to Youth Outlook Drop-In Center
- Host to YMCA Summer Day Campers
